🌻 Maybe I’m alone in feeling like this, but I feel like I can get a few amens! I’m not going to speak for every woman here, but many of us tend to have a little innocent, or not so innocent, competition in our minds with other women around us. We may internally compete with who we see on social media, others in our churches, women around our communities, other women in our areas of business or line or work, or even other women in our families. We compare ourselves based on what we “think” is the other person’s reality.
In life, there will always be competition around us, but we must focus on blooming where we are planted. Maybe you feel like I do sometimes and see yourself as a simple carnation, or dandelion, planted in a field full of delicate orchids. I seem to feel less valuable, and almost a weed of sorts, in an exquisite surrounding of rare and beautiful blooms.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what kind of flower I am, or what field I’m planted in, as long as I’m blooming. Blooming is what I was created to do.
God didn’t design us to use the person next to us, or on the other side of the screen, as a measuring stick for our beauty and worth. He doesn’t want us to look at someone else as a tool to measure our value. In His word is where we find our beauty and worth. Through His truths and promises, He communicates our infinite beauty and value. Jesus thought I was worth so much that He was willing to die for me. Even if it had only been me, He would have done it all!
As women of faith, we have to seek God’s will for OUR lives and do our best to bring Him glory in everything we do, even in what we may see as the mundane aspects of life. So,…

Whatever color your are…
Wherever you are planted…
Whatever season you are blooming in…

When we are blooming, and living in God’s grace, we are exactly where we need to be, and doing exactly what He’s made us to do!
